I had the absolute pleasure of chatting with CBC Life to discuss one of my favourite topics: catification and the massive benefits of catios for feline well-being.
For indoor cats, boredom and frustration can often manifest as underlying behaviour issues. Catios offer a brilliant, force-free solution—providing crucial mental and physical enrichment, natural circadian rhythm regulation, and safe exposure to the world without the inherent risks of the outdoors.

In the article, I dive into why a one-size-fits-all approach doesn't work. To build a space a cat truly loves, we have to look at their unique feline personality:
Tree-dwellers need verticality, high shelves, and climbing structures to feel secure.
Bush-dwellers require ground-level low-exposure "salvation" spots, cubbies, and safe greenery to hide and decompress.
A huge thank you to the team at CBC for highlighting the importance of science-based animal welfare and proactive environmental enrichment.
